Rapid innovation is driving extensive change across the ICT community. From leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize operations and power new business solutions to marketplace platforms that simplify sales and delivery, the channel and the organizations it serves benefit greatly from these transformations.
That was just one of the many observations from the GTDC Summit EMEA, 1-3 April, 2025 at the Intercontinental Madrid. More than 200 ICT vendor and distribution executives participated in this year’s event to discuss a variety of channel topics, including the innovation revolution and value of orchestration across the ecosystem.

The Distributor of 2030 – Frank Vitagliano, CEO of the GTDC talked about the technologies, market trends and partner experience shifts that are reshaping the channel and IT industry. Joined by Dave O’Callaghan, Partner at Vation Ventures, the duo shared and discussed the findings from the new GTDC Distribution 2030 report, highlighting the shifting roles and value propositions across the IT ecosystem.
European Economic Outlook – Emily Mansfield, Principal Economist for Europe at EIU discussed how current economic conditions and trends will impact the IT community in 2025 (and beyond), providing critical insight on regional financial environments and what vendors, solution providers and distributors need to know to prepare for the future.
From Myths to Math: The Science Behind AI’s Big Leap – AI is often overhyped and misunderstood. In this session NielsenIQ’s Antonio Hurtado, VP Research Science and Zu Khoja, VP, Architecture and Innovation broke down how AI truly works—from its origins to today’s generative models—empowering attendees to see beyond the buzzwords.
Building a Successful AI Strategy – In this session, moderated by IT Channel Consultant, Alex Tatham, a panel of AI community experts provided their unique insights on the opportunities, needs and strategies required to thrive in this evolving technology landscape.
View From the Top – Building on a legacy of strong fulfillment capabilities, distributors have become all-encompassing strategic partners, driving growth, innovation and efficiency across the IT ecosystem. This panel discussion, moderated by Frank Vitagliano, highlighted how vendors can innovate, generate new revenue streams, navigate challenges and seize other opportunities by developing more collaborative distribution relationships.
